Inger: Hi everybody, I just wanted to provide you all with a quick update on where we stand with our volunteer recruitment efforts for the VITA sites. Tear off volunteer fliers have been distributed at the following places: Normandy Farms Estates & Brittany Pointe Estates, Lions Gate 55+ Community. The Giant grocery stores in North Wales, Hatfield, Harlesyville and Souderton, the Vernfield and Telford Landis markets, Henning's, Redner's, Whole Foods, Genuardi's, Superfresh. I did reach out to the folks at Trader Joe's and they were not able to post the flyer for public view in their store, but the manager did offer to take one to post in the employee breakroom. Both the North Penn and Souderton school districts have put the information in their employee newsletters and on thier respective intranets. The North Penn Community Network will have a volunteer ad running (for FREE!) on the flat screen tvs that are out in the community, and Souderton-Telford Main Streets has agreed to include the information on their website. Local post offices (with the exception of Harleysville, who stated that they could not post a flyer) all have them as well. I also have fliers posted at the Lansdale library and the Indian Valley branch of the YMCA.

I'm working on a press release for volunteer recruitment, and that will likely go out on Monday morning.
